Sinks Drop Box

Where do disks placed in the drop box go? The website says the Grapevine, but I'm assuming it is closed as all numbers I can find are disconnected. Thanks in advance.

Discs that go in the drop box get pulled out every couple of days (if not every day). Information about the disc gets written on a specific spread sheet that is posted on the kiosk directly above the drop box. Then the disc goes into my car where it travels with me where ever I go until its owner manages to make arrangements to retrieve it. I have listed on the spread sheets that I keep them for 90 days at which time if its not claimed then it gets thrown out of my car and into a box or bag. The unclaimed discs that fill up these boxes/bags then gets passed on (eventually) to groups that can use them to teach kids to play. ***** Its not a perfect system and of course I try not to make any mistakes when I update the spread sheets, but my time is valuable and doing this takes a lot of time that I don't have, so I do the best I can. ***** Any other questions please feel free to give me a call.

If anyone is interested in taking over this responsibility please let me know. (Fat chance of that happening) :)

Jake,
I am going to be working at Signal Mtn Saturday and saw on your list that you have my red Star SL. If you still have it, could you bring it up to the work day if you are still going?

Thanks

Hi, I appreciate your service, but I didn't know how the system worked when I first moved to the area and started playing the local courses. I'm missing at least one from the Sinks, and maybe more from other local courses. Its been a while, but I was assuming if someone found them they would email me because I write my email on all my discs. Would you mind checking the discs you have found in the last few months (maybe as far back as July. I'm not sure) and email me if you find any with my address (jemoeller@gmail.com).

Thanks a lot.

Here's how the drop box at the sinks works.
Lost discs are dropped in the box.
I empty the box as often as possible.
What ever disc(s) is in the box gets written on the spread sheets that are posted on the board directly above the drop box and the disc goes in a box in my car.
People that have lost discs look on the lists to see if their items have been turned in.
If they see their disc listed on one of the sheets then that means that I have the disc(s) in my possession and they can call me to arrange getting it back.
**Some people think that those lists are for people to write on, listing what discs they have lost ----THAT IS WRONG!!!!
I generally hold discs for 60 to 90 days before I donate them to one of the areas recreation centers or other area children organizations.
=====I DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL PEOPLE ABOUT THEIR LOST DISCS=====
Some people call the number listed on the discs before they drop them in the box and that is great if people want to try to return discs on their own.
so if you've lost a disc then you need to check the lists that are posted on the kiosk at the sinks
Hopefully this clears things up a bit for anyone who had questions.
If you still have questions then just give me a call 423-505-2280
